***Releasing an EP next week in Europe...
hopefully in the US soon***

I happened across Dry the River the other day as I was searching for videos of Noah and the Whale, whom I posted HERE a few days ago.

The still picture used for the video grabbed my attention.  It would end up being the face of the vocalist, and after clicking play, "No Rest" began, and I fell in love with them immediately.

(Note:  The first two videos may require you to click on a link that will take you to Youtube.)

After doing more research, I would learn that they are from England, and while they have released a couple of things across the pond, they have only managed to release one single, and a live EP here in the U.S..  "No Rest" is this single, and their only studio music available on the American of right now.

Visiting their website, they are scheduled to release a 4 song EP, entitled Weights & Measures EP, next week in Europe, which includes the the title track, "Weights & Measures".

Listening to more of their stuff, including live versions of songs like "Family Tree", which is the second track on the new EP, I would hear glimpses of a handful of artists I love.  Radiohead, Coldplay, Bon Iver (posted HERE), and Antony & the Johnsons (posted HERE).

The cool thing is, I couldn't pin point one band, which means Dry the River has a sound that is all their own.

Coming across them the other day, reminded me of when I first found Coldplay, at a time when they were an unknown.

I feel the same way about Dry the River as I did then about Coldplay.

This is the beginning of something big.
