Post #160: Paul Simon - "Me and Julio Down by the School Yard"

Post #160: Paul Simon will be in town tomorrow night playing at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and on Tuesday night playing a sold out show at First Avenue.

Unfortunately I couldn't get tickets to the First Avenue show, but I'm pretty sure Monday night will be just as good.

The tickets were a little spendy, but if he plays this song, the cost will be well worth it.

After Simon and Garfunkel broke up in 1970, Paul Simon taught songwriting classes before embarking on a solo career.  This is off of his 1972, self titled album, which would be his second, but the first to be released in the US.

It was this album that sent the message that he and Art Garfunkel were in fact 'done'.

This video has a nice intro by Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie, and cameos by Spud Webb, Mickey Mantle and John Madden.
