Post #127: The Beta Band - "Dry the Rain"

Post #127: A couple nights ago, I grabbed a beer with a friend at a place called Jake's in Plymouth. Many restaurants and bars will have music playing in the background, and often times it is Top 40 style music that you can hear anywhere.

Well that evening, I was really surprised by the music selection, so I talked to the manager. I don't recall the name of the station, but he was playing music from satellite radio. Each song was great, one right after the other.

The playlist included "Dry the Rain" by The Beta Band, a song that always reminds me of one of my favorite films, High Fidelity.

I hadn't heard of this band until I saw this John Cusack movie that came out in 2000. I will post a clip of that next.

This can be found on their 1998 release The Three E.P.s, which is a compilation of 3 E.P.s which had previously been released on vinyl only.
