Post #80 (Hip Hop Thursday #4): Public Enemy - "Welcome to the Terrordome"

Post #80 (Hip Hop Thursday #4): Like a lot of us that grew up in the 80's and 90's, I went through my "rap" phase where that is all I really listened to. Ice-T, Ice Cube, Big Daddy Kane, and my favorite, Public Enemy.

To this day, the 1990 album, Fear of a Black Planet, is my favorite rap album of all time. Every time I listen to it, it brings back memories of my Timberwolves Starter jacket and David Robinson Air Force Pump shoes.

Most people might be familiar with the songs "911 is a Joke" or "Fight the Power" off of this album. But my all time favorite is "Welcome to the Terrordome".

  1. I just listened to this album for the first time in probably 18 years (I had the casette and never converted to CD, but fortunately the library had a copy). It's as good as I remember. I never had a rap phase, but for some reason this stuck out as one I liked. Next up for a re-listed: Dr. Dre's The Chronic.
