Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson - Relator (Live @ The Interface)

Post #38: Back in 2001, Target had a small endcap section of music that was priced at $6.99 an album. As someone that often times will buy music because the album cover looks cool, this was an offer too good to pass up. Sometimes the albums weren't to my liking, but I could typically find a song or two worth listening to. Pete Yorn's debut musicforthemorningafter, was one of these "chances", and to this day is included in my list of favorite albums.

More recently, in 2009, he released an album alongside Scarlett Johansson. Having purchased everything else Pete Yorn, I picked this up as well. After a couple of listens, it wasn't really clicking with me. And with memories of my excitement over finding musicforthemorningafter, I was quite disappointed.

But as is true, often times with an album, sometimes it is about timing. Some of my favorite albums are ones that didn't hit me right away. Well yesterday, I pulled this album out again, and have listened to it all day yesterday, last night and this morning a couple of times already. Great album!

This is my favorite tune, the opening track.
